After looking at Arnold Newman's book One Mind's Eye, we shot portraits. Everone had to shoot 10 photos of each person in the class in their own private studio space. I really like both of their portraits from this assignment. They had fun. Dressed up, found nice light and experimented. That is the spirit of this photo class. Try to see things in new ways. I love Megan's perspective on this shot. Up high , looking down. This photo got my attention immediatly because of it's loose but thoughtful composition. I love seeing her mom's profile and then the details behind her framed by the window. This photo reminds me of work by the best photojournalist ever named Eugene Richards. Here is a link to a site that shows some of his work.
